Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SnapStatic Image Tools at images.snapstatic.io ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Description of Service

SnapStatic Image Tools is a browser-based image processing tool that resizes, converts, and optimizes images. The Service is operated by SnapStatic and accessible at images.snapstatic.io. Processing is performed on SnapStatic's servers. No account or registration is required.

2. Free Tier

The free tier allows you to process up to 3 images per batch with up to 2 presets, in JPEG or PNG format, at standard quality. Free usage is rate-limited. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with notice posted on the Service.

3. Paid Packs

Paid packs are one-time purchases processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC) as Merchant of Record. Packs grant a fixed number of image processing credits valid for a limited time (30, 60, or 90 days depending on pack size). Credits are non-transferable and expire at the end of the validity period regardless of usage.

After purchase, you receive a token by email. Tokens are stored locally in your browser. If you clear browser data or switch devices, you must re-enter your token. SnapStatic is not responsible for lost tokens.

4. Refunds

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of purchase by contacting contact@snapstatic.io with your order ID. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy. After 7 days or if a substantial portion of credits have been used, refunds are at our discretion.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. However, by activating your pack token and using credits, you consent to the immediate provision of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once credits have been used (Article 16(m) EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU).

To exercise withdrawal before using credits, contact contact@snapstatic.io within 14 days.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to process images that:

• Contain child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploit minors
• Contain illegal content under applicable law
• Are used to generate spam, phishing, or deceptive material
• Infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Contain malware or malicious payloads disguised as images

We reserve the right to block or rate-limit any user who violates these rules or abuses the Service. Uploaded images that violate these rules may be rejected or deleted without notice.

7. No Storage of User Images

Images are processed in memory and temporary storage, then immediately deleted. Output ZIP files are stored temporarily (up to 24 hours) for download, then automatically deleted from our servers. We do not retain, review, or analyze your images beyond what is necessary to perform the requested processing.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to your images. We claim no ownership or license over images you upload or the processed output. The SnapStatic name, logo, and Service design are our intellectual property.

9. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that processing will be error-free, that output quality will meet your expectations, or that the Service will be available without interruption. Image processing may produce artifacts, color shifts, or quality loss depending on the source image and settings.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SnapStatic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.

Our total liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the pack that gave rise to the claim.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service uses Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, bot protection), Lemon Squeezy (payments), and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot verification). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their availability or policies.

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice.

13. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence apply. Payment disputes are governed by Lemon Squeezy's terms as Merchant of Record.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by posting the revised version on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
